Hmong Children's Book Update #5

In the book update #4, I mentioned that I had given our printing company the final approval to start mass producing our books. In this update, I have good news: they've finished printing the books! Below are some pictures of the books in the factory: It's so cool to see the behind the scenes process of book printing!!! I'm so glad they sent me these pictures so that I could share them with you :) They are currently working on the gloss lamination process. Once that is finished, they have to bind the books then get them ready to ship to me and once I receive them, I'll get the books ready to be shipped out to our preorder customers before Christmas...

Hmong Children's Book Update #4

We received our 2nd set of book samples, updated some of the colors one last time and now we have what we want! We've sent the FINAL digital files to our printing company and have given them the approval to send the books to the printing press for mass production! We decided to go with the glossy finish for the moisture protection as well as helping to make the colors pop a bit more. I think you'll like it when you see it! Our production timeline is looking very good. It'll take a few weeks for them to produce and ship the books to me but as soon as I receive them, I'll get them packed and ship them out...

One powerful reason why speaking Hmong matters so much

My husband told me a story of something that happened recently and I asked him to share it with you. Here's my husband:   Hey there! My name is Touger (Tub Ntxawg). On our way back home, my mom started to cry silently in the...

Hmong Children's Book Update #3

I should be receiving the 2nd set of sample books with the adjusted color scheme TODAY! If the colors look right, then we'll give the final approval for the mass production of the books :) Let's hope all goes well! The amount of time for production, printing, and shipping is usually longer than expected so I want to thank you for being patient as we go through this process together!  Just as a reminder, my goal is to get you your book(s) before Christmas (December 25th). Barring any catastrophes that I cannot control, I will do my best to make this happen!

Hmong Children's Book Update #2

I received samples of my Hmong Children's board book! The books look great! However, there is a slight coloring issue so I'm going to adjust the colors and send the printing company an updated file to print me another set of samples. I really want to make sure that you get a high quality book :) Hopefully I'll get the new samples sometime next week. The original board book had only 16 pages (including cover and back) but after some deliberation, I decided to increase the page count to 20 (including cover and back)! That required more graphic design work on my part as well as increased costs but I think it's totally worth it :) I think you'll like it!
